Accounts and family access

What is included in one subscription?

Choose a $49.99 yearly plan or a $4.99 monthly plan. Both include two parent logins, up to ten kid profiles, unlimited chores, and unlimited rewards. Optional AI review is included with usage limits and parent fallback.

Where can I download ChorePoints?

ChorePoints is available now on Google Play. The iPhone version is coming soon.

Can a parent be in more than one family?

No. A user account can belong to one family at a time. If you try to invite someone who is already in a family, the invite fails so nobody gets moved by mistake.

What happens when someone is invited to the wrong family?

When they sign in, they should see the family name and can reject the invite if it is not their family.

Can someone leave a family?

Yes. They can leave from Settings, but they must type LeaveFamily to confirm. ChorePoints keeps family history so accidental changes can be reviewed.

Kid sign-in

When should I use a PIN?

Use a shared-device PIN when kids use a parent phone, tablet, or shared family device. It keeps switching profiles simple.

When should I use an email login?

Use an email login when the kid has their own iPhone or Android device and should sign in directly.

Do kids need to pay?

No. Kids are included under the family plan.

Chores and review choices

Do all chores need photos?

No. You can create chores with no photo, parent photo review, or AI auto-review. Use the lowest amount of proof that works for the chore.

What happens if AI is not confident?

The submission falls back to parent review instead of silently awarding points.

Can I turn AI off?

Yes. AI review is optional per chore. You can use no-photo approval or parent photo review instead.

Photos and privacy

How do I limit photo data?

Use no-photo chores whenever a picture is not needed, and use photo or AI review only for chores where proof helps.

Are chore photos public?

No. Chore photos are for your family account and review flow. They are not public posts.

Can my child upload an old photo?

Photo chores are designed around fresh camera capture so the submission reflects the current chore.

Rewards and points

Who creates rewards?

Parents create the family reward store, set point prices, and decide when requests are approved.

When are points awarded?

Points are awarded after the chore is approved by the parent or by AI auto-review.

Can I use money as a reward?

Yes. Parents control the reward list, so allowance, screen time, outings, or custom rewards can all be used.

Trials and billing

Is there a free trial?

Eligible families can try ChorePoints free for two weeks. After the trial, the selected yearly or monthly plan renews automatically unless it is canceled through Google Play.

How do I cancel?

Open Google Play subscriptions for the account used to purchase ChorePoints. You can cancel there at any time; access continues through the current paid period.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the ChorePoints plan screen and choose Restore Purchase while signed into the Google Play account that originally subscribed.

What happens if the subscription ends?

Family history is not automatically deleted. Some parent actions—such as creating chores, approving completions, or editing rewards—may stay unavailable until the plan is renewed.

Troubleshooting

I did not get an invite or reset email. What should I do?

Check spam or filtered folders first, then ask the parent to confirm the email address. If it still does not arrive, contact [email protected].

The camera is not working. What should I check?

Check device camera permission for ChorePoints. If the chore does not truly need a photo, the parent can switch it to no-photo or manual review.

Where can I find step-by-step instructions?

Use the support guide for setup steps, chore setup, reviews, rewards, password resets, and family access changes.
