The rules for using ChorePoints.

These Terms of Service govern your use of ChorePoints. By creating an account, using the app, or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you use ChorePoints for a family, you represent that you are a parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission from one.

Family accounts and child profiles

ChorePoints is designed for supervised household chore management. Parents are responsible for creating and managing child profiles, setting chores and rewards, deciding whether photos are required, and reviewing family activity. Child profiles are not public social accounts and should be used only by the household members the parent authorizes.

Subscriptions and billing

ChorePoints may offer a paid family subscription. Current US reference pricing is $49.99 per year or $4.99 per month, and eligible families may receive a two-week introductory trial. The exact price, trial eligibility, renewal date, and taxes shown by the app store at purchase control. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are handled by Google Play or the applicable app store. Access to paid features may end if a subscription expires, is canceled, or cannot be verified.

Photos and family content

You are responsible for the chore titles, notes, reward descriptions, photos, and other content submitted in your family account. You grant ChorePoints permission to store, process, display, transmit, and analyze that content only as needed to operate the service, including showing photos to parents, verifying chores, creating short-lived image links, and providing optional AI photo verification.

Do not submit sensitive, unsafe, explicit, unlawful, or unrelated images. ChorePoints is for household chore verification, not identity verification, surveillance, medical decisions, or emergencies.

AI photo verification

AI photo verification is a convenience feature. It may approve a chore, reject a chore, or send the submission to a parent for manual review. AI can be wrong. Parents remain responsible for configuring chores, reviewing disputed submissions, and deciding whether a chore was actually completed.

Acceptable use

• Use ChorePoints only for lawful, household chore and reward management.
• Do not attempt to access another family's account or data.
• Do not upload malware, abusive content, explicit images, or content that violates another person's rights.
• Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service.
• Do not use ChorePoints to track, pressure, or harm a child or any other person.

Account security

Parents are responsible for keeping login credentials secure, choosing appropriate child PINs, and limiting access to trusted family members. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how chore photos and AI verification work, and how parents can request deletion.

Service availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of ChorePoints as we improve the product or respond to security, legal, billing, or operational needs. We will try to provide reasonable notice for material changes when practical.

Termination

You may stop using ChorePoints at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these terms, creates risk for other users, or is used in a way that could harm the service. Parents may contact us to request account deletion.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded ChorePoints from the Apple App Store, Apple's Media Services Terms and any applicable App Store rules also apply. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for ChorePoints. To the extent required by Apple's rules, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Disclaimers

ChorePoints is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that chores will be verified perfectly, that points or rewards will motivate every family member, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChorePoints will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for ChorePoints in the three months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify parents. Continuing to use ChorePoints after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
