Children develop skills at different rates. Review every suggestion for your home, the child's experience, and the adult supervision available. Demonstrate a new task, do it together, then reduce support gradually.
Do not assign work involving chemicals, heat, sharp tools, heavy lifting, heights, medication, or care of another person unless a responsible adult is directly involved and the task is appropriate for that child.
