Balance quick wins and saving goals
Keep at least one reward within a few days of ordinary effort, especially when a child is new to the system. Add a weekly option and a longer saving goal so children can practice choosing between spending now and saving.
Do not price essential needs, affection, food, sleep, school access, or basic family belonging as rewards. Offer only choices the parent can reliably honor.
